Want to participate in a research study? Finding a way home: Kincare

Samantha Rittson is a Master of Psychology student from the School of Psychology and Counselling, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Together with Leith Harding, a PhD student, they are conducting research into the experience of out-of-home-care (foster care) and the outcomes of reunification, long term guardianship and/or adoption.  

Samantha is looking for adults who have current experience working with a child/children in long and/or short term out-of-home-care. You will be asked to complete a 30-minute questionnaire. Specifically, she is looking for carers who -

  • Have experience as a carer for children in kin or foster OOHC; AND
  • Have a child in Short Term care or LongTerm care

At the end of the survey you can choose to participate in a 30 to 40-minute semi-structured phone interview.

You will not be asked for any identifying information to ensure your anonymity.
