Leith Harding PhD survey promo picThe Option for Permanency is now in Queensland legislation

Foster and Kinship Carers we want to hear from you!

Leith Harding, from the School of Psychology and Counselling, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), is doing a PhD into the experience of out-of-home-care (foster and kinship care) and the outcomes of reunification, long term guardianship and/or adoption.

He is looking for current foster and kinship carers with a child in your care for at least 2 months. You will be asked to complete a 30 minute survey.  At the end of the survey you can choose to participate in a 30-40 minute semi-structured phone interview.

Leith is also asking those who took part in his survey earlier this year to do the survey again.  You will be asked to complete much of the same 30 minute survey, with a few added questions related to the recent permanency announcement and impending legislative changes.   At the end of the survey you can choose to participate in a 20- 30 minute semi-structured phone interview the same as you were asked to do last time.

You will not be asked for any identifying information to ensure your anonymity. Please view the attached Participant Information Sheet for further details on the study.
